During a hearing in Supreme Court on Twisha Sharma's death case, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that a divorced daughter is better than a dead daughter. He further said Twisha's mother-in-law had been "hopping from channel to channel, almost maligning the deceased". Twisha, the Noida woman, was found dead in her matrimonial home in Bhopal five months after her wedding.
