PETA urges nationwide ban on meat ads from Oct 2 to honour Mahatma Gandhi

PETA India urged Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to enact a nationwide ban on meat ads on all platforms from October 2, to honour Mahatma Gandhi's 'commitment to ahimsa'. "Requesting Gandhiji’s legacy of non-violence be honoured by ending meat advertising...and encouraging the compassionate, healthy and sustainable meat-free food traditions India has long shared with the world," PETA India added.
