India asks people travelling to UAE to ensure adequate medical insurance

Indian missions in the UAE advised Indian nationals travelling to or residing there to take adequate medical insurance. It warned that unforeseen illnesses and medical emergencies can leave patients and their families facing substantial bills. The insurance should also cover cashless facilities, including the cost of repatriation to India in the event of an unforeseen medical emergency, it added.
