Claude AI faces major outage in India and US

Anthropic's Claude AI experienced a major outage affecting users in India and the US. Nearly 1,400 US users reported issues by 9:02 AM EST. Problems hit Claude Chat (46%), mobile app (33%), and Claude Code (12%). Anthropic confirmed it is investigating degraded performance across claude.ai, the API, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
