Google-parent Alphabet is in talks with Marvell Technology to develop two new chips for running AI models more efficiently, The Information reported. One is memory processing unit designed to work with Google's tensor processing unit (TPU), while other is a new TPU built for AI models. The move supports Google's push to position TPUs as an alternative to Nvidia's GPUs.
