India must tap physical AI to cut tech import reliance: KPMG

KPMG India's National AI Leader Purushothaman KG said India must seize opportunities in physical AI and boost domestic manufacturing of IoT, cameras, and AI-enabled devices, as 90-95% of such products are currently imported. Speaking at India Mobile Congress 2026, he noted India is shifting from IT services to indigenous product development, aided by PLI schemes.
