Centre informed Lok Sabha on Tuesday that centralised data on racial discrimination against people from Northeast is not maintained, and policing & public order fall under the states' ambit. MoS for Home Ministry Nityanand Rai said NCRB collects crime data under legal categories, but racial bias isn't tracked.
