The Supreme Court declined to hear a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking a CBI probe into the alleged police encounter of activist Bharat Bhushan Tiwari in Bihar's Bhojpur district. The court directed the petitioner to approach the concerned High Court with his plea. Tiwari, 28, was killed on June 17 and was locally known for raising awareness about corruption.
