Statues of Sai Baba were removed from multiple temples in Varanasi following a campaign launched by a group called 'Sanatan Rakshak Dal'. The group removed a statue from the Bada Ganesh Temple in Varanasi and placed it outside the temple's premises. The temple's head priest said, "Sai Baba was being worshipped without proper knowledge, which is forbidden according to scriptures."
