Mexico's most wanted drug lord El Mencho has been killed in a US-backed raid. US had announced a reward of up to $15 million for information leading to the arrest of El Mencho. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has been under mounting pressure from US to intensify her offensive against drug cartels blamed for smuggling drugs across the border to US.
