FIFA COO exits weeks after criticising Infantino's WC stake sale plan

FIFA said COO Kevin Lamour had left the organisation, weeks after he publicly criticised President Gianni Infantino's now-abandoned World Cup stake sale plan. Lamour joined FIFA's senior leadership group in November 2024. "Our mission...isn't to serve the personal interests of a person who, unfortunately, believes he embodies FIFA when he is supposed to be ⁠at its service," Lamour had stated.
