US admits spending ₹2 lakh cr in 4 months, weapons shortage amid Iran war
The United States has spent nearly $22.3 billion (₹2.13 lakh crore) on weapons and ammunitions so far in the Iran war and lost military equipment worth $3.7 billion, according to a Lead Inspector General report. The report also said the war "resulted in strategic inventory shortfalls." Notably, an additional $7.4 billion was spent on other costs linked to the war.
