A bride called off her wedding and walked out after her groom, a police constable, refused to proceed with the rituals unless his ₹30 lakh dowry demand was fulfilled in Agra. Following this, the bride's father filed a police complaint claiming that he had already spent a considerable amount on the wedding and gifts, which were part of the dowry.
