Indian-origin filmmaker Alexandre Singh's short film 'Two People Exchanging Saliva' won Best Live Action Short Film at the 98th Academy Awards. Born in Bordeaux in 1980 to Indian parents, Singh is known for blending visual experimentation with narrative storytelling. Before the Oscar-winning film, he had directed another short film titled 'The Appointment'.
