Hackers steal children's data after UK firm uses 'Password1' to protect account

Hackers stole thousands of children's data after accessing a 12-year-old test account secured with the password "Password1", the UK's Information Commissioner's Office said. The password could be cracked in less than a second. The data watchdog has reprimanded Ogi Networks and Data Cymru following an investigation into the November 2024 cyberattack.
