The All India Bank Officers' Confederation has urged PM Narendra Modi to introduce a five-day work week across the banking sector. The trade union said the move would support PM Modi's recent appeal to reduce fuel consumption amid the West Asia crisis. Bank employees across India had gone on a nationwide strike in January, demanding a five-day work week.
