Team India chief selector Ajit Agarkar, commenting on Ravindra Jadeja's exclusion from India squads for Afghanistan series, said, "Jadeja has been rested for the Test." He added, "Jadeja remains an integral part of Test team and remains our number one spinner." Agarkar noted that selectors wanted to assess other options in ODI, keeping in mind the conditions in South Africa.
