One of the most widely used rabies vaccines fails quality test, India raises alert: Report

CDSCO raised an alert after a field sample of Abhayrab, Indian Immunologicals' rabies vaccine which holds a 40% share of the domestic market, failed a quality control test, Reuters reported. The drug regulator directed officials to maintain "strict vigilance" over Abhayrab batch KE25012. The sample had discrepancies in labelling, artwork, cap colour and licence details, raising fake vaccine fears.
