FIFA is installing advanced hybrid turf systems across 16 host cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico to ensure consistent playing conditions despite different climates. The fields combine natural grass with synthetic fibres, advanced drainage, ventilation, precision irrigation systems and grow-light systems. The system will help ensure reliable and high-quality pitches across venues.
