AI system turns research papers into agents that can make new discoveries

Stanford Medicine researchers have developed Paper2Agent, an AI system that turns scientific papers into interactive AI agents. These agents can explain research, run analyses, communicate and collaborate with other paper agents to make new discoveries. Two agents identified a previously unreported genetic link to ADHD, while some other agents tried to reproduce original research from scratch.
