AI almost led US military to start a war with China: Report

A faulty AI-assisted US intelligence report nearly triggered an operation against a Chinese ship in West Asia during the war with Iran, CNN reported. The report wrongly claimed the vessel carried nuclear weapons programme components. Armed personnel prepared to board it and military aircraft were airborne before officials discovered a chatbot had misidentified the cargo and halted the operation.
