OpenAI's senior safety employee, David Robinson, who recently resigned, suggested running AI labs like "nuclear power plants or busy airports" to keep people safe. This is needed to prevent human errors from opening a door to disaster, he said. He also called for new science to ensure more capable AI models make safe choices even when humans are not looking.
