Akhilesh Yadav promises ₹40,000/year to women in UP if SP wins Assembly polls

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has announced a 'Stree Samman Samriddhi Yojana' under which women in Uttar Pradesh will get ₹40,000/year if SP wins the upcoming state Assembly elections. Akhilesh claimed that the amount will be increased in the coming years. "This is a resolve for the complete freedom of half the population (women)," the former UP CM added.
