UP to reclaim & auction enemy properties after their lease expires

The Uttar Pradesh government will stop renewing the leases for enemy properties and has directed authorities to reclaim them once the lease expires. Occupants will be required to vacate the premises, while illegally-occupied properties will be given 15 days to vacate. Enemy properties are properties left behind by those who migrated to China or Pakistan after wars and acquired citizenship.
