10 convicted in 2013 Chhattisgarh Naxal attack that killed 29, including Congress leaders

A special NIA court convicted all 10 accused in the 2013 Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district, in which 29 people, including senior Congress leaders, were killed. Maoists had ambushed Congress's 'Parivartan Rally' in Bastar's Jhiram Valley. Those killed included then-state Congress chief Nand Kumar Patel, ex-LoP Mahendra Karma, ex-Union Minister Vidya Charan Shukla, among others.
