Bidders certify no animal tallow, firewalls against China & Pakistan for polymer notes: Reports

Two foreign polymer currency manufacturers and an Indian substrate manufacturer placed their bids in response to a global Expression of Interest (EOI) issued by RBI, as per reports. Bidders were asked for an undertaking to firewall their Indian operations from any operations they may have in China and Pakistan and to certify that polymer substrate will not contain animal tallow.
