Apple to tighten Mac data access controls amid rising AI agent risks

Apple has announced plans to tighten macOS privacy controls to protect users against third-party AI agents. The company will require explicit user confirmation before granting "Full Disk Access" to system files, messages and browsing history. "As AI agents become increasingly capable and autonomous, the risks associated with this level of access will grow substantially," Apple said.
