FSSAI issues advisory on storage, handling and transport of perishable foods

The FSSAI has issued an advisory directing food businesses to maintain prescribed temperatures while handling, storing and transporting perishable food items such as paneer, meat, fish and khoa. It also mandates the use of hygienic vehicles, food-grade packaging and proper records to ensure food safety and prevent contamination. Non-compliance may lead to seizure and destruction of food products.
