Why have watermelon prices dipped to ₹7/kg in some areas in India amid Iran war?

Wholesale prices of watermelons have dipped 29% in one month, from ₹3,275/quintal to ₹2,301/quintal, according to Moneycontrol. This is because the Middle East war disrupted India's watermelon exports during the Ramzan season, resulting in the fruits flooding domestic markets. Karnataka-based agricultural entrepreneur Aruna Urs reported that watermelon prices in some areas have fallen to ₹7/kg.
