WHO approves India's Cervavac HPV vaccine for global use

Serum Institute's Cervavac HPV vaccine has received WHO prequalification, allowing UN agencies to procure it globally. The vaccine protects people aged 9–26 against four HPV types linked to cervical and other cancers. Developed with support from India's DBT and Gates Foundation, it matches Gardasil's efficacy. CEO Adar Poonawalla called it a key step in the global HPV response.
