Sambhal's administration said it cleared 130 km of the Kanwar Yatra route by making it pothole-free for barefoot pilgrims ahead of their annual pilgrimage. District Magistrate Ankit Khandelwal said 2,017 police personnel have been deployed for security along with installation of 12,456 CCTV cameras. The administration also fixed 37 leaning poles and tightened loose wires at 225 locations.
