Delhi's excise duty revenue has risen more than fivefold over the past two decades, reaching over ₹6,300 crore in 2025-26, CNN-News18 reported. Collections grew sharply between 2006-07 and 2014-15, nearly tripling to ₹3,422 crore. Daily average excise earnings also surged from about ₹3 crore in 2006-07 to over ₹17 crore in 2025-26.
