The Karnataka government announced new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to secure temple donations. Installing CCTV cameras for 360-degree coverage around donation boxes has been made mandatory and live feeds will be linked directly to police stations for monitoring. Counting of donations will now take place in presence of revenue officials. The state will promote payments through QR codes.
