World Bank raises India growth forecast to 6.6% for FY27 despite West Asia war impact

World Bank has projected India's economy to grow at 6.6% in FY27, up from its earlier 6.3% forecast in October 2025. However, South Asia's growth is forecast to slow to 6.3% in 2026 (due to West Asia war) from 7% in 2025 before recovering to 6.9% in 2027. India is expected to remain the primary growth driver in the region.
