Odisha cancels officer leaves ahead of cyclone landfall

Odisha has cancelled leaves of district collectors, magistrates, and key officers as a very severe cyclonic storm is expected to cross the Andhra Pradesh coast between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam on October 28. Red alerts issued for Ganjam and Koraput; 60 ODRAF and 17 NDRF teams deployed. Schools and Anganwadi centres shut on October 28–29.
