3 widely-prescribed medicines classified as cancer-causing by WHO

Three widely-prescribed medicines used to treat high BP, fungal infections, and organ transplant rejection have been classified as carcinogenic to humans (Group 1) by WHO's cancer agency. These include hydrochlorothiazide, voriconazole, and tacrolimus. Experts said the classification is a hazard identification and should not prompt patients to discontinue treatment without consultation.
