While responding to a lawsuit over its decision to close Trump Organisation's bank accounts years ago, Capital One Financial said it did so after an anti-money laundering probe. This is the first time a bank has formally tied money laundering concerns to US President Donald Trump's family business. In 2021, Capital One notified it'd close over 300 Trump-affiliated bank accounts.
