After Canada claimed it expelled Indian diplomats, External Affairs Ministry said that the government had withdrawn Indian High Commissioner and five other diplomats before Canada asked them to leave. "We had summoned the acting High Commissioner of Canada and thereafter conveyed that we had no faith that the Canadian government will look after the safety of our diplomats," it stated.
