Sri Lanka's Finance Ministry said on Saturday that the island nation had officially ended its debt default with Fitch Ratings upgrading its long term credit default rating to 'CCC+' from 'CCC-'. An official from the ministry also called Sri Lanka's economic crisis "man made". Sri Lanka had plunged into an economic crisis when it declared sovereign default in April 2022.
