Iran records first revenue from toll on ships in Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Second Deputy Parliament Speaker Hamidreza Haji-Babai confirmed that the country's first revenue from tolls collected from ships passing through Strait of Hormuz has been deposited into the Central Bank account. This marks Iran's first confirmation that it's collecting toll from ships. Iran is reportedly collecting $2 million/vessel and is estimated to earn $600-800 million/month via tolls.
