A Russian warship fired warning shots at a UK-flagged yacht 32 kilometres south of Isle of Wight. Russia’s Defence Ministry said the yacht was moving on a course that could have led to a collision with its warship. It said the yacht crew ignored radio signals, so flares were fired when the vessel came within 150 metres of the warship.
