India explains how US stopping Green Card applications of IT firms will affect Indians

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the suspension of US' PERM program for multiple Indian IT firms won't affect the validity of H-1B visas. "There could be some impact on the permanent residency or Green Card process of eligible employees of affected companies," Jaiswal said. "PERM is distinct from the H-1B visa program," he added.
