Seychelles Foreign Minister Barry Faure said PM Modi’s state visit to his country holds “a lot of meaning”. Faure said India has demonstrated solidarity with neighbours and the Global South as it provided critical assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic and regional challenges. He added that Seychelles supports India’s bid for a permanent seat at the UN Security Council.
