Under the new proposal sent by Iran to US, which US President Donald Trump has rejected, the war would end with a guarantee that Israel and US won't attack Iran again. Iran would then open Hormuz, and US would lift its naval blockade. Talks would then be held on curbs on Iran's nuclear programme in return for lifting of sanctions.
