Delhi on Saturday recorded 86 new COVID-19 cases, marking the national capital's highest daily case surge in five months. On Friday, Delhi had confirmed 12 cases of the new Omicron variant of COVID-19, taking the total number of infections from the variant there to 22. Officials said most of the 12 new Omicron patients were fully vaccinated and asymptomatic.
