The Supreme Court has ordered the release of all protesters detained during the protests against the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, except those with criminal records. The court also issued notices to the Centre and chief secretaries of Delhi, Maharashtra, Bihar, Assam, Kerala, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh over violence during protests. The next hearing is on August 6.
