China pauses rescue work in Tibet

China paused rescue operations in Tibet after devastating flash floods wreaked havoc in China, Tibet and Nepal. China claimed that a barrier lake, created by a massive landslide and holding two million cubic metres of water, had already begun overflowing and could trigger more floods. It said rainfall could add another three million cubic metres of water in three days.
