Nishant Kumar, the son of Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar, formally joined the party on Sunday. This comes after Nitish Kumar filed his nomination for Rajya Sabha on Thursday. Nitish, who took oath as Bihar CM for the tenth time in November 2025, is set to resign from the post.
