Thane: Rebar cage falls on car at MMRDA project site

A reinforcement cage from a pier at the under-construction Anand Nagar–Saket Elevated Road collapsed onto a moving car near Kopri Bridge, Thane on Saturday, damaging its windshield. The woman driver escaped unhurt. MMRDA imposed a Rs 2 crore penalty on the contractor and ordered a detailed investigation into the incident.
