Metal stocks fall up to 7% amid ongoing tensions in Middle East

BSE-listed metal stocks fell up to 7% on Wednesday amid the ongoing war in the Middle East. Tata Steel led the fall as its shares declined nearly 7%, followed by Steel Authority of India, Jindal Steel, NMDC, JSW Steel, Hindustan Zinc, and Jindal Stainless. The Sensex was down 1,122.66 points to close at 79,116.19, and the Nifty ended below 24,500.
