Colonel Himanshu Bali, posted with the Army Ordnance Corps in Kolkata, has been arrested by CBI in connection with a ₹50 lakh bribery case, reports said. He has been accused of indulging in corrupt practices to favour a Kanpur-based person Akshat Agrawal and his firm while awarding tenders, approving substandard samples and clearing inflated bills. Agrawal has also been booked.
